The STAR Center offers several individualized locations on campus to assist your students with their needs. Our tutors are dedicated professionals who create a supportive environment to assist your students in mastering course content and achieving success in the classroom. Our tutoring areas also offer many study resources, including textbooks, models, bones, microscopes, slides, and rock samples, and free access to computers. In-person tutoring is available on a first-come, first-served basis and by appointment (for some subjects). View our service hours for each available subject for the current semester. Faculty Dashboard is a task manager. In it, the professor can generate a specific task for students, monitor the progress of the task, and receive a report when the task is finished.
You can access the Brainfuse Faculty Dashboard through myLoneStar by selecting "LSC Online" and then clicking the tile "Online Tutoring". If you use "Brightspace D2L" to reach your courses, click on the "Brainfuse" access link that you created in your D2L courses.

The Write Place & Language Homework Lab | Building G, Room G103
As an across-the-curriculum writing center, The Write Place is devoted to improving students’ writing, communication, and reading skills across academic disciplines. Our writing tutors/consultants, including faculty from various disciplines and are available for one-on-one consultations to help with any writing project at any stage of the writing process. The Write Place is located in (G103) and services include free tutoring in writing and ESOL support from brainstorming and research to revising, editing, reading, and public speaking.
