All LSC-Montgomery dual credit English, History, Government, and Science instructors, as well as high school librarians and college prep instructors, are invited to the 2023 Dual Credit Summit. This event is an opportunity for professional development and fellowship, as well as a chance to learn more about the resources and services available to you and your dual credit students.

  • Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education (MCC Ballroom B) | The emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming higher education. This session will provide participants with an overview of generative A.I. and its potential applications in the academic setting, including current developments at Lone Star College.
  • Self-care for Educators (MCC Ballroom A) | Anne Lamott said, “Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.”  Come experience simple self-care rituals that offer you the opportunity to restore and renew as needed! Participant Max: 10
  • Getting Students to Read: A Conversation (MCC-120) | With the expansion of digital media, it is increasingly difficult to get students to read. Join your librarians to explore strategies for motivating students to complete assigned readings and perhaps go beyond that to inspire a life-long love of reading. Participant Max: 12
