The forms linked below must be reviewed and signed by the user prior to using any hardware or software in or connected to the Makerspace. Print and sign these forms, and bring them to your appointment.
All users must satisfy the following conditions:
You must be a current Lone Star College-Montgomery student with a current LSC ID [ages 14 and up].
Projects must relate to course assignments. Explanation and/or evidence of course assignments is required.
You must review and sign a User Agreement form, Equipment Use Agreement form, and Liability Waiver form*. These forms protect the technology in the makerspace and release the College from responsibility of damage, injury, or death.
*The parent or legal guardian of users age 14-17 must sign the required forms.
All users must comply with the following rules:
A reservation is required and must be made 24 hours in advance of your arrival time [more on reservations below].
The makerspace is limited to one user or group at a time. Groups cannot exceed 8 people.
The makerspace is “checked out” to the user's library account [current LSC ID required for checkout]. For groups, the makerspace is "checked out" to the person who made the reservation - this person becomes the primary user and assumes sole responsibility for damage and/or misuse.
First-timer user(s) must complete a brief in-person orientation of the makerspace.
User(s) cannot leave the makerspace unattended.
Food is not allowed. Covered drinks can be used at the "work table" site in the physical space.
The physical space and technology will be assessed by library staff before the makerspace is "checked in" and discharged from the user's library account.
