Welcome to Lone Star College-Montgomery!  New Faculty Orientation (NFO) is designed to prepare new faculty for the first day and beyond, but also give experienced faculty the opportunity to learn more about the various services and resources available to faculty and students available at LSC-Montgomery. Participation in NFO is required for all newly hired full-time faculty but is open to all adjunct faculty and dual credit instructors. NFO consists of two distinct parts:

  • Part 1: D2L Community Group: New Faculty Orientation | Part 1 is an online community group hosted in D2L that provides an overview of the campus and a list of campus resources that faculty can return to as often as needed. You will gain access to the D2L community group the week before NFO part 2.
  • Part 2: New Faculty Orientation Live! | At this event, you will meet colleagues, campus leadership, and your mentor, learn more about the college and available resources, as well as get all of your questions answered. You'll also have an opportunity to meet the Division Faculty Fellows who will share teaching and learning strategies to get your semester off to a great start. The next NFO Live! session is scheduled for January 8 from 9:00am - 1:00pm in the Maverick Conference Center (MCC).

Participants receive an invitation to participate in NFO from the Faculty Resource Center. If you have not received an invitation by January 8, please contact MC-FRC@lonestar.edu .
