Throughout history, there have been famous sculptors who have withstood the test of time. Perhaps they are valued for their ability to create highly realistic figures or maybe they are prized for their willingness to push boundaries and defy expectations. Regardless of their style, we’ve rounded up a collection of great sculptors who have created some of the most recognized pieces of Western art in history.

Tate is an institution that houses, in a network of four art galleries, the United Kingdom's national collection of British art, and international modern and contemporary art; including Tate Britain, which displays the collection of British art from 1500 to the present day; Tate Modern, also in London, which houses the Tate's collection of British and international modern and contemporary art from 1900 to the present day; Tate Liverpool (founded in 1988), which has the same purpose as Tate Modern but on a smaller scale; and Tate St Ives in Cornwall (founded in 1993), which displays modern and contemporary art by artists who have connections with the area. All four museums share the Tate Collection. This website features a selection of highlights from the collection, including various works of sculpture, decorative arts and ceramics. The National Gallery of Art, and its attached Sculpture Garden, is a national art museum in Washington, D.C. The Gallery's collection of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculpture, medals, and decorative arts traces the development of Western Art from the Middle Ages to the present, including the largest mobile created by Alexander Calder. It is one of the largest museums in North America. Part of the site is the Kress Collection Digital Archive, which contains sculpture and decorative arts highlights. The site also has a blog containing articles relating to the arts.

The Nasher Sculpture Center is a museum in Dallas, Texas, that houses one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculptures in the world, the Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection, featuring more than 300 masterpieces by Calder, de Kooning, di Suvero, Giacometti, Hepworth, Kelly, Matisse, Miró, Moore, Picasso, Rodin, Serra and more. The Center launched in Nasher Public October 2020. This is a year-long, two-pronged public art initiative which aims to generate access to public art by North Texas artists.

Colossal is an online magazine for contemporary art and visual expression that explores a vast range of creative disciplines. The site contains an archive of over 6,700 articles covering a wide range of topics, including: sculpture, street art, craft, and design.

Glasstire is the oldest online-only art magazine in the country. The focus of the magazine is the visual arts in Texas. The site contains articles, podcasts, and a feature where you can view current and upcoming art exhibits in different parts of Texas.

Getty Publications produces award-winning titles that result from or complement the work of the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Conservation Institute, and the Getty Research Institute. This wide variety of books covers the fields of art, photography, archaeology, architecture, conservation, and the humanities for both the general public and specialists. Publications include illustrated works on artists and art history, exhibition catalogues, works on cultural history, research on the conservation of materials and archaeological sites, scholarly monographs, critical editions of translated works, comprehensive studies of the Getty's collections, and educational books on art to interest children of all ages. In 2014, Getty Publications launched its Virtual Library with more than 250 titles spanning its forty-year publishing history. Titles are searchable by title, author, and keyword and include full descriptions, tables of contents, links to read online, to purchase the print book, to find in a library, or to download the complete PDF for free for personal use. More titles will be added as they can be made available.

The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m., during the Fall and Spring semesters. And Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m., during the Summer. The gallery is located in D-101 which is in the Center for the Arts, Building D. We welcome everyone to come enjoy the various art exhibits, and hope you will attend the meet and greet sessions with selected artists as well. All art exhibits are free of charge and open to the public.

The purpose of the club is to provide a venue for the ceramic students (or anyone interested) to have camaraderie and a team atmosphere in the events that the club participates in. The mission of the club is to stay truly student run and help foster extracurricular ceramic happenings.
