Course reserves are textbooks or other materials used for a class which are put on reserve in the library by a professor or department for a specified check out period. The purpose of course reserves is to allow students the opportunity to use textbooks and other materials while they are on campus, without having to purchase them.

Searching for Items
Many textbooks and materials are available in Course Reserves. When searching for course reserves, you can filter your results. Click on the “Filter” button located at the top of the Course Reserves box. Then, click on the drop down box next to the “Where” box, and choose a category to search by such as professor, class, or location. In the “Contains” box, type in the information you are looking for pertaining to the category. Filtering your results helps to make your search more manageable.
A professor or department may put an item on reserve by completing a “Reserve Request Form.” This form can be found online through lonestar.edu or at the following link: http://www.lonestar.edu/departments/libraries/TomballLibrary/ReserveReqForm11-11.pdf
