Marketing Research Guide!
This guide provides resources for marketing and related fields. This guide is not a comprehensive list of all of the available resources available to LSC-Montgomery students and faculty, but is designed to guide researchers through the research process and provide a starting point for accessing materials.
Start your research by doing some background research. Take time to engage in some mind-mapping exercises that will help you identify key subject terms. Encyclopedias and other reference resources can be used to help you refine your subject terms and the citations in these sources can be used to find more information on your topic.
Make a Plan
Consider how much time you have to complete your assignment and how hard it will be to get the resources you need for your topic. If you are finding your research difficult to manage, narrow your topic or break your research down into manageable sub-topics. If you are not finding enough information on your topic, try using broader subject terms.

Q: How do I print in the Library?
Load your Student ID with money in the Library and then use the ID at the print release station. You can get more help here in the library.
Q: Who can I ask for help?
You can ask anyone at the front desk for help. They will direct you to the best resource for your needs.
Q: Do you have my textbook?
We do not collect textbooks, but professors can place the course textbook on reserve for use here in the Library. Course Reserves are located at the front desk.
Q: How is the Library organized?
As an academic library, we use Library of Congress call #s, so we shelve items with similar topics together. Circulation, Reference, and audio items will soon be on the same shelf together. We also have music, playscript, and foreign language collections in the back of the library.
