Course Reserve Items

Searching for Items

Many textbooks and materials are available in Course Reserves. When searching for course reserves, you can filter your results. Click on the “Filter” button located at the top of the Course Reserves box. Then, click on the drop down box next to the “Where” box, and choose a category to search by such as professor, class, or location. In the “Contains” box, type in the information you are looking for pertaining to the category. Filtering your results helps to make your search more manageable.

Note to Faculty

A professor or department may put an item on reserve by completing a “Reserve Request Form.” This form can be found online through lonestar.edu or at the following link: http://www.lonestar.edu/departments/libraries/TomballLibrary/ReserveReqForm11-11.pdf

Please fill out the form completely before returning/ bringing it to the Service Desk at the library (Building F, 1st floor). The contact information should reflect the person responsible for the item(s) in the event that they are withdrawn and returned. Depending on the time of year, if can take up to 5 business days to get an item processed and on the shelf for students to check out. Peak times for putting an item on reserve are at the beginning of each semester (fall, spring, and summer).
