Q: How do I print in the Library?

Load your Student ID with money in the Library and then use the ID at the print release station. You can get more help here in the library.

Q: Who can I ask for help in the Library?

You can ask anyone at the front desk for help. They will direct you to the best resource for your needs.

Q: How do I find a Librarian?

You can ask for research help/to talk to a librarian at the front desk. The library staff member will point you to the librarian on duty.

Q: Do you have my textbook?

We do not collect textbooks, but professors can place the course textbook on reserve for use here in the Library. Course Reserves are located at the front desk. They also have a shorter checkout time, usually 2 hours.

Q: How is the Library organized?

As an academic library, we use Library of Congress call #s, so we shelve items with similar topics together.  

Q: How do I get a Library Card?

Your Student ID acts as your library card. In order to access resources from home, you will have to activate your Student ID. You can activate your card by coming into the library or calling the Circulation Desk at 936.273.7387.

The librarians are here to help you with your research, show you resources for your assignments, help you form citations, and more!
